Candidiasis is caused by a small parasite fungus called “candida albicans”, and it is especially met with women. Healthy women usually have a small number of this sort of fungi, but sometimes the number grows and they cause the appearance of such problems as itches, burns, and the woman might even experience pains during the sexual intercourse.
Candidiasis is determined by such factors as the wearing of too tight clothes, heavy weight, hot weather, stress, antibiotics, contraceptive pills, pregnancy, diabetes. The infection is not usually sexually transmitted. Candidiasis is not a dangerous infection and the appropriate can diminish the discomfort. The sexual partners are treated only if they have a problem. You have to remember though that this illness is disturbing, and in order to avoid problems, do not make any internal washings unless the doctors asks to do that, wash your intimate zones from the front to the back (this doesn’t allow the bacteria to spread from your anus to the vagina), wear cotton underwear, follow the doctor’s prescriptions, use condom.
This infection is caused by the breaking up of the natural equilibrium of the vaginal flora. This imbalance is caused by taking antibiotics for a longer time, hormonal transformations due to the contraceptive pills, to the period or caused by your pregnancy. An inadequate hygiene is also responsible of the appearance of candidiasis such as too frequent showers inside the vagina, or the using of the deodorants in the intimate area. Although there hasn’t been confirmed a direct connection between the transmission of this disease and the sexual act, the sperm can also influence the natural acidity of the vagina, which leads to the appearance of the imbalance that determines the infections.
There are obviously different symptoms in the case of women and in the case of men. Candidiasis for women is manifested through an inflammation of the vagina and of the vulvae, the appearance of a large quantity of creamy, white, smelly leaking. As in the situations of most infections, there appears an embarrassing itching, sensation of pain under the form of burning that cannot be located, and pains while urinating.
Candidiasis for men causes the inflammation of the penis, the appearance of some small sore spots that care break. These symptoms can also be associated with intense sensations of itching and pains that take the form of burnings. Although candidiasis is not a normal infection in the case of men, it seems that they are not excluded from the list of those who can be affected by candidiasis.
You can easily recognize this disease because of its symptoms, namely a cheesy white secretion, the vulvae can be reddish, the intimate area might be a bit swollen, the area might cause itches, when you urinate you might feel something burning you down there, and when you’re engaged in the sexual intercourse you might feel an easy pain. After the man had sex with a person who is infected with candida, he will experience shortly a creamy secretion, mild itches and burns, and his penis might turn red.
Candidiasis is frequent in the case of healthy people but it is recurrent especially when you are pregnant or when you’re suffering from diabetes. The studies show that candidiasis one from ten people from those who have been infected are men, and it has been found out that 75% of women experience at least once in their life an episode of vaginal candidiasis. But remember that this is not a sexually transmitted disease. Another thing that you must be aware of is that almost half of the world’s population is infected with candida albicans and the illness is not always recognized through obvious symptoms.
