Green tea gains more and more popularity in the west due to its special properties and antioxidant role. Green tea is more popular than the black tea in the Middle East, China, Japan and in the neighboring countries because of its great benefits. The green tea was well-known even in the ancient China and it was used as a medicinal beverage. It is interesting to know that the habit of drinking tea was a privilege of the elite and only later it began a common habit spread all over the country.

There are many types of green tea in many countries and the in China only there are more types of green tea, depending on the region where it grows. There are more than ten types of green tea in China and around eight types of green tea in Japan. Most of the present types of green teas are made in order to resemble the teas of the famous Chinese and Japanese teas. However, the quality of those teas is very different from what it should be.

Taking into account the fact that the green tea has antioxidant properties, the benefits of drinking green tea may be great, as it may also interfere and stop the chain reactions started by free radicals. The green tea has extraordinary powers in preventing the aging process and in neutralizing the aging effects that are already visible. The green tea may ease the negative effects of alcohol, smoking and may help in the disorders of the intestinal tract. The green tea may also prevent fatigue and may bring improvements in the well functioning of the brain. Urinary disorders may be cured with the help of green tea, as well as the beriberi disease.

It is important to point out that the people who drink green tea daily are not so likely to develop different types of cancer. Moreover, some specialists claim that with the help of green tea even the Alzheimer’s disease may be stopped or at least the symptoms may be eased. If this is true, then other neurodegenerative illnesses may be stopped as well. In many cases of cancers, arthritis and even multiple sclerosis green tea has benefic effects. In the case the mentioned diseases or illnesses are in their initial stage green tea may be responsible for a miracle – the complete treatment. Although some specialist deny the importance of green tea and the existence of credible scientific evidence able to sustain the presented benefic effects of green tea, the other studies may contradict their opinion.

There are some studies that sustain the fact that some types of cancer may be prevented by drinking several cups of green tea daily. Moreover, the negative effects of an existent cancer may be reduced with the help of drinking green tea daily. Even the early stage of some types of cancer spreads slower in the body of a person who is a lover of the green tea. Using this information and developing some techniques using green tea the scientist may be able to develop some prevention programs not only for cancer, but also for other diseases, especially related with the well functioning of the heart.

It is also important to point out that the antioxidant found in the green tea is thought to be more powerful than vitamin C and E taken together. This aspect may explain the great power and effectiveness of green tea in dealing with prevention and treatment of many diseases and illnesses. That is why drinking several cups of green tea should become the priority of everyone who wants to be healthy and young.
